Pastor Kenneth L. Cotton
Pastor Kenneth L. Cotton's journey began in the small East Texas community of San Augustine, where faith wasn't just taught but lived. As the son of Pastor Reggie Lee Cotton, who served in ministry for over 60 years, he witnessed firsthand how God transforms circular seasons into stepping stones toward purpose.
His childhood along Garner Street in what folks called the Sunset neighborhood shaped his understanding of protection, provision, and purpose. From his grandfather's protective yard that offered safety from bullies to Mrs. Bell's fruit-laden shortcut that offered unexpected blessings, these formative experiences became the foundation for his teaching about God's faithful guidance.
After answering the call to ministry, Pastor Cotton has pastored for over 30 years and he currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Greater Barbour's Chapel Baptist Church. His ministry is characterized by practical biblical teaching that helps people recognize God's purpose in every season—especially those that seem circular and repetitive.
Pastor Cotton's preaching style combines profound biblical insight with down-to-earth wisdom and touches of humor that make deep truths accessible. His devotional "Breaking Through: When God Ends Your Season of Circling" emerged from a New Year's Eve message that resonated deeply with those feeling stuck in repetitive patterns.
